NO DUMPING ALLOWED – HOW TO REPORT AN INCIDENT

If you see dumping occurring on public lands, please do the following:

Do not engage the dumper in any way. Simply record the pertinent information and provide it to the appropriate authorities.

    • Incident Date
    • Incident Time
    • License Plate Number
    • Vehicle Description
    • Incident Location
    • Violator's Description
    • Material Dumped
    • Other Important Details

Please call to report the dumping incident:

  • If the dumping occurs on land managed by the BLM, Forest Service, or U.S. Fish & Wildlife, please call 702-515-5000.
  • If the dumping occurs on land managed by the National Park Service, please call 702-293-8932.
  • If the dumping occurs on any other property, or you don't know which agency manages the property where the dumping occurred, please call the Southern Nevada Health District at 702-759-0600.

Reno/Sparks Area Dumping:

  • If the dumping is in progress and occurs in Reno or Washoe County unincorporated areas, please call 775-334-COPS (775-334-2677).
  • If the dumping is in progress and occurs in Sparks, please call 775-353-2231.
  • If reporting an existing illegal dumpsite anywhere in Washoe County, please call the Washoe County Environmental Health Department at 775-328-2434.
