As a Bighorn Sheep, I live on the public lands in the Mojave Desert and often come across litter. It makes me sad and I wonder how long it would stay there if no one ever picked it up? You can go to Facts & Figures to learn more.

Our desert is no place for waste. How you choose to handle litter will affect our public lands and the plants and animals who live there.

Meet my friends Griffin and Maria and their canine pal, Murphy. They volunteer with their family to help protect the environment – stuff like clearing trails, planting trees and plants or picking up trash on public lands. It’s hard work, but lots of fun because they also learn about the plants and animals of the Mojave Desert.

You too can learn about the desert’s plants and animals by checking out our coloring books. You can either paint online or download and print the drawings to color offline with crayons.
