Volunteers Clean Up Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area

On May 23, 2009, nine volunteers continued clean-up efforts at Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. The SNAP Anti-litter Desert Dumping team (Don't Trash Nevada) and the nine volunteers spent 3 hours removing 36 yards of illegally dumped debris. This site was littered with construction debris, landscape debris, and general household items. A Bureau of Land Management (BLM) law enforcement agent was onsite and issued 2 citations to individuals driving in a restricted area.
