Volunteers Clean Up Conservation Transfer Area

On May 30, 2009, five local community members saw the hard work of eleven volunteers, including three Boy Scouts, and spontaneously joined in to clean up the Conservation Transfer Area. Their combined efforts removed fifty-six yards of debris, including construction and landscape materials, couches, tires, and other assorted household items. While their efforts removed a large amount of debris, this area is still in need of future attention. Future clean-ups are being planned for this hard-hit area.

If you or your group is interested in working on a future clean-up project, please call Daniel Chase at 895-5149. If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities please check the following web site www.getoutdoorsnevada.org.
