National Public Lands Day: Six Mile Cove Cleanup

Join Get Outdoors Nevada, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics in cleaning up Six Mile Cove on Lake Mohave during National Public Lands Day!
National Public Lands Day is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends and enjoy the many benefits that come from connecting with nature. This year, we are going to Six Mile Cove, a popular summer recreation spot. We will be picking up litter along the recreation area.
All equipment will be provided, as well as drinking water and snacks. But we need you and your friends to join us, so we can make a difference!
Here are some important details:
Registration starts at 8:30 AM.
Minors: To participate in this cleanup, all minors must come with an adult.
Lake Mead NRA Fee: Volunteers will not have to pay the park fee the day of the cleanup, but must pre-register with a valid email address in order to receive information on park fee waiver.
Travel: This volunteer opportunity is on Lake Mojave in Searchlight, NV. To get there, the last 6 miles are on a washboard road.
This is a great opportunity to come for the volunteer event, and then stay with your family to enjoy Lake Mead National Recreation Area the rest of the day!
Suggested Clothing: Closed-toe shoes, Long pants, Long-sleeve shirt, Wide-brim hat
